The Urban Warriors announced last night that they had agreed terms with the Amakhosi regarding a January transfer move for the player although did explain that it was subject to him agreeing personal terms.
Meanwhile, Chiefs then went on to announce the ‘imminent arrival’ of the 23-year-old, saying that ‘the matter now rests upon Manyama agreeing terms with the Amakhosi.’
Alfred Phiri, the player’s representative, added to that, saying that the player is still weighing up his options.
He told the Siya crew, “We haven’t met with Chiefs yet, and I think it’s unfortunate that the two teams have gone public on agreeing terms. We still have other options to look at, one of which is overseas, and I think it was wrong that the clubs have announced it.”
Chiefs have been keen on landing Manyama since he scored a brace against them last season, and did try to sign him in the last transfer window.
While the agreement between Chiefs and Ajax has set Manyama’s potential move to Naturena in motion, it is now up to the player to agree to a move to The Glamour Boys.
Would Manyama be a good signing for Kaizer Chiefs?
