On Saturday the 2012/13 Absa Premiership league comes to an end, with Ajax Cape Town facing a possible PSL promotional play-off battle.
The team is third from bottom on the table and as they take Golden Arrows on, they will need a win to guarantee their PSL status. Anything but a win could force them into the play-offs, depending on Chippa United’s result against AmaZulu.
Ajax midfielder Lebogang Manyama acknowledges that their survival remains in their hands. He told the Siya crew that they need the three points against Arrows and that is what they are targeting.
“Our survival is in our hands and we have to do it ourselves. We have to go on the field of play and play as if our lives depend on this game. We know they also want the three points but I think we need them more than they do.
“We will play this game like a cup final and we have to lift the cup which means we have to get the three points,” Manyama concluded.
