AmaZulu are preparing to table a new deal for Njabulo Manqana, with a view of extending his stay at the club.
The midfielder signed a short-term deal with Usuthu during the January transfer window, helping the side maintain their PSL status. He scored some vital goals, while creating others, as the KZN outfit successfully avoided relegation at the end of the 2012/13 season.
The 26-year-old confirmed to the Siya crew that the club has already informed him that he is part of the team’s plans for the new season.
“They (AmaZulu) have been pleased with how I did. They will make a decision on the new deal. But they have already told me that it will happen. I think it will be done when we return for preseason.
“I think we worked hard as a team last season. We just have to work harder so that we start on a good note next season,” said Manqana.
Manqana had an unsuccessful stint with Orlando Pirates before his move to AmaZulu. He was previously with AmaZulu’s neighbours, Golden Arrows, in KZN.
