AmaZulu have completed the signing of Njabulo Manqana, as the club looks to bolster their squad in an attempt to claw their way out of the relegation zone.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder impressed the technical team while on trial at the club, firstly under former coach Roger Palmgren and subsequently Craig Rosslee, who took over from the Swedish mentor.
Manqana is the club’s first signing under Rosslee, since his appointment in November of last year. The player’s deal was confirmed to the Siya crew by his agent, Lindani Shezi.
“He signed on Friday. It’s a six-month deal and if he does well they will give him more. It’s done. I think it was a business decision from their side (AmaZulu) to sign him now, not when he first trained with the team. I think because of the Afcon break and stuff, maybe they decided that it wouldn’t be wise to sign him back in December and decided to sign him now,” said Shezi.
Rosslee is expected to add more players to his squad during the January transfer window, with various big names, including Mbulelo Mabizela and Sthembiso Ngcobo, being linked to the club.
