As predicted by the Siya crew yesterday, PSL champions, Kaizer Chiefs, have taken talented Ghanaian defender Anthony Manison on trial at the club.

The crew explained yesterday that the 19-year-old was due to fly into Mzansi and attempt to convince Stuart Baxter and his technical team that he was deserving of a contract, the club have now confirmed that his trial has begun.
Manison, a left-footed centre-back, has been playing his football in Spain for Rayo Vallecano B after being spotted in a youth tournament back in 2009.
The defender is now eager to earn himself a place in Baxter’s ranks and is likely to feature in their friendly against Wits today.

Speaking to the Amakhosi’s official website Manison said, “I enjoyed training today. It was my first training and the guys were all friendly towards me. It is difficult to compare the training here to that of Spain as it was my first session with the team.
“I saw some intelligent moves from the players and we trained at a high level. I am happy to trial here. I know a lot about Kaizer Chiefs. I watched them on DSTV from home in Ghana from the age of 15.
“I am hoping to impress the Technical Team here and get an opportunity to play for one of the biggest sides in the continent.”
Manison has represented Ghana at both U17 and U20 level.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will clash on July 27, with the title of 2013 Carling Black Label Cup champions up for grabs.
