Chiefs’ Passion Questioned

Some Siya crew sources within Kaizer Chiefs have explained that management are not completely happy with some players not deemed to be pulling their weight at Naturena.
The Amakhosi took part in six different competitions this season, but were unable to claim any silverware, and despite claiming their best PSL points total for around a decade, it seems that some people are not happy with the situation there at present.
According to the source, some of the Chiefs’ management aren’t pleased with how the league title was given away and are expecting some players to be dropped to the stand next season if things don’t improve.
The source said, “They show no passion and at times are wasteful. lt seems as they are indecisive on the pitch and it is something that cost the club the chance to win the league again. Playing for a club as big as Kaizer Chiefs demands full focus and extra hard work. They lose the balls cheaply and don’t show fighting spirit, something that was evident against Wits in the PSL and recently at home to Free State Stars”.
This seems to be in line with club captain Itumeleng Khune’s recent comments in the media, stating that certain players in the squad lack the mental strength needed.
Chiefs are expected to delve into the transfer market this season as they prepare to regain the PSL title from Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2014/15 PSL season and bolster their squad, though there has been no official confirmation yet as to who they will be bringing on board.
