While Manchester City’s pre-season tour of South Africa has been confirmed, the involved parties are yet to announce which two PSL sides the English giants will be facing.
The English Premier League side will be flying into Mzansi in July, of this year, to take part in two friendlies, one on the 14th and the other on the 18th of July, against what their official website described as ‘two top PSL clubs’.
It was recently reported by the Siya crew that City were planning to take the tour extremely seriously and would be bringing a strong squad to South Africa for their two fixtures.
It is believed that one of City’s opponents will be current PSL champions, Kaizer Chiefs, who are likely to face the English side in Durban, however the opponent for the other game, in Gauteng, is as yet unknown.
According to a source close to the tour, the two teams will be finalised and confirmed at some point next week, with tickets (priced between R150 and R350) set to go on sale soon.
