Mamelodi Sundowns have bagged the R1, 5 million prize money of quarter 2 of the PSL’s Q-Innovation.

The top prize for Q2 has been a contest between Sundowns and Mpumalanga Black Aces coming into the last round of fixtures for the quarter this past weekend.
Following their 2-0 win against SuperSport United in the Tshwane Derby on Saturday, Pitso Mosimane’s side ensured that the R1, 5 million cheque is heading to Chloorkop.
The Brazilians finished the quarter with 19 points. Aces lost 1-0 against University of Pretoria on Sunday and finished the quarter with 15 points.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates finished Q2 with two losses in seven games for each of the two sides.
With Bidvest Wits and Chippa United having won their matches on the weekend, Chiefs and Pirates moved further down on the standings.
The Buccaneers and the Amakhosi were 3rd and 4th respectively on the Q2 log going into the weekend’s games. Both Chiefs and Pirates finished Q2 on 11 points.

The Students finished the quarter on 13 points, while The Chilli Boys continued with their resurgence under Dan Malesela by finishing Q2 on 12 points.
