A Mamelodi Sundowns striker is expecting to hear from the club regarding his future for the upcoming season.
Having finished last season with Platinum Stars, where he was on loan from Sundowns, Bonginkosi Ntuli is looking to hear from the Chloorkop outfit regarding his future for the 2018/19 season and beyond.
As reported in edition 1081 of Soccer Laduma, the Pietermaritzburg-born player is unwilling to leave Downs on loan again.
The 27-year-old has had enough of being sent out on loan and wants to compete for his place in coach Pitso Mosimane’s team.
Since joining the Brazilians in July of 2014 from Golden Arrows, where he was a regular in the starting line-up and scoring goals, the forward has struggled to establish himself with the Chloorkop-based outfit.
Instead, since January of 2015 – six months after his arrival at Downs – Ntuli has spent all his time away from Chloorkop, playing his football on loan elsewhere. Ntuli has spent the last three seasons on loan with Platinum Stars. The 27-year-old had also been sent on loan to AmaZulu in KwaZulu-Natal in 2015, prior to his three consecutive loan stints with Dikwena in the North West.
With Downs busy with their CAF Champions League commitments, it is not yet clear if Ntuli will be included in Mosimane’s plans for the 2018/19 season.
Contacted for comment, the player’s representative, Mandla Mthembu, told the Siya crew that they won’t be entertaining any other loan move for the forward.
“We are not entertaining any other loan move again. Bongi needs to go back (to Sundowns) and fight for the jersey and for his place in the team,” said Mthembu.
The striker had 20 league starts for Dikwena under his belt last season and scored three goals in the process.
