Mamelodi Sundowns are close to having some of their key players return from injury.
Sibusiso Vilakazi is currently the only Sundowns player who is ruled out for the rest of the season, although Head Coach Pitso Mosimane has had no trouble in finding someone to fill in, in his absence.
On the other hand, the Brazilians have confirmed that Andile Jali has made his return to training following a foot injury.
“Andile Jali has resumed training with Mamelodi Sundowns’ first team, having recovered from his left foot injury. Jali hasn’t played for the Brazilians in the league this year due to that injury,” Sundowns said on their official website.
The team’s other injuries include Wayne Arendse, who has a calf strain and is set to undergo a scan today, January 23, while Phakamani Mahlambi has also resumed training following a hamstring strain.
Thokozani Sekotlong is also nursing a hamstring, while Lucky Mohomi has a strain to his knee.
Sundowns continued their unbeaten run in the league last night, after their 2-1 victory over Highlands Park in the Absa Premiership, this before gearing up to face Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup this weekend.
