The Absa Premiership’s top scorers have one last chance to stake their claim for the league’s Golden Boot this season, with Percy Tau and Rodney Ramagalela going neck and neck.

The Mamelodi Sundowns star and his counterpart at Polokwane City both have 11 goals to their name going into the final game of the season, and the duo will be eager to try and add at least one more to their tally to try and trump their challenger.
Tau, who has scored four league goals since the start of February, is probably the most likely to find the back of the net as Sundowns go up against a struggling Ajax, with Ramagalela having scored just twice in the same time period.
‘RamaG’ and his Polokwane teammates are fighting for their lives down at the bottom of the table, and could really use a goal or two from their top scorer when they come up against Chippa United on May 12th.
Gift Motupa (9) as well as both Khama Billiat and Evans Rusike (8) do still have a small chance of pipping the leaders to the award if they’re to have an incredible final day, although that seems unlikely given the scoring rate in the league this season.
