Mamelodi Sundowns have released Mzikayise Mashaba from his contract with the Chloorkop-based club, just months before his deal was set to come to an end.
The player’s immediate future with the Brazilians was under much speculation for quite some time now, with the 28-year-old previously being linked with the likes of Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
It was previously reported by the Siya crew that Mashaba and his camp was set to meet with Sundowns regarding a dispute between the two parties.
Siya sources have since informed Soccer Laduma that the utility player has been released from his contract with Masandawana after Mashaba was found guilty of misconduct.
The player is currently out of action due to injury which is set to keep him on the sidelines for several months.
Now, it remains to be seen where the player’s next destination would be, although, as things stand, Mashaba is currently a free agent and will not have to wait until the upcoming January transfer window period to sign for a new club.
