PSL Reveals Q2 R1.5m Winners

The Premier Soccer League has confirmed the winners of the 2018/19 Quarter Two prize money, with the winners lifting this cheque for the fourth season in a row.
Mamelodi Sundowns, who picked up 17 points from seven matches in Q2 – five victories and two draws – completed the quarter without a single defeat, and went on to pip Cape Town City to the prize by one point. It is the ninth time they’ve won it since the innovation was brought in back in 2014.
Masandawana’s win was revealed by the PSL today, with a statement that read:
“Mamelodi Sundowns, currently third on the log, have claimed the Absa Premiership Q-Innovation Quarter Two… Sundowns has won the second quarter of the Absa Premiership for four consecutive seasons now: 2018/19, 2017/18, 2016/17 and 2015/16.
“The Premier Soccer League will hand over the R1.5 million prize money tonight ahead of their fixture against Black Leopards at Loftus Stadium. The fixture will kick-off at 19h30.”
Sundowns can move into second place on the Absa Premiership table tonight with a win over Lidoda Duvha.
