Mamelodi Sundowns will remain in Durban this week for their upcoming Absa Premiership clash, although a few of their players are still out injured.
The Brazilians ended the weekend with a 3-3 draw against AmaZulu FC in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday, with the likes of Gaston Sirino, Denis Onyango and Anthony Laffor all absent from the encounter.
Sundowns confirmed that Sirino underwent a late fitness test prior to the match, although it seems that the player is still nursing a hamstring injury.
The Brazilians also revealed on their official website that Laffor is suffering from a knee and a calf injury, which could see the player out for a few weeks.
“Laffor picked up a knee, calf and ankle injury on international duty for Liberia,” Sundowns said on their official website.
In addition, Reyaad Pieterse made his official debut for Sundowns in the absence of Denis Onyango who, as confirmed by Masandawana, was away on family commitments.
Sundowns also revealed that Cuthbert Malajila is still nursing an injury, with the player out of action for quite some time now.
“Cuthbert Malajila is ruled out with knee Injury,” Sundowns added.
The Brazilians will face Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday, September 19 and it remains to be seen whether any players will make their return from injury.
