Sundowns Issue Update On Injured Players, Billiat To Miss FSS Clash
Mamelodi Sundowns Have Issued An Update On Their Injured Players
Mamelodi Sundowns revealed that eight of their first team players will play no part in tonight’s Absa Premiership encounter as they are all currently nursing injuries.
Sundowns will travel away to the Goble Park Stadium tonight, September 11 where they will lock horns with Free State Stars in an Absa Premiership encounter.
Head Coach Pitso Mosimane will be determined to get back to winning ways after suffering defeat to Polokwane City in their previous league encounter.
However, Mosimane will have to do so without the services of eight of his first team players, with the likes of Khama Billiat and Tiyani Mabunda all nursing injuries.
“Khama Billiat, Yannick Zakri and Tiyani Mabunda lead the list of infield players who are sidelined by injuries. The goalkeeping department is also affected as Kennedy Mweene will be missing,” Sundowns confirmed on their official website.
“Mweene returns from Zambia’s World Cup Qualifier heroics against Algeria with a hamstring injury. Muzikayise Mashaba, on the other hand, faces a long layoff as he recovers from an operation on a Torn Achilles.
“Full injury list: Khama Billiat (Hip Flexor), Yannick Zakri (Groin), Tiyani Mabunda (Groin), Keletso Makgalwa (Groin), Sibusiso Kumalo (Groin), Kennedy Mweene (Hamstring), Siyanda Zwane (Toe Blisters), Muzikayise Mashaba (Torn Achilles),” the club added.
