Mamelodi Sundowns have given an update on Andile Jali following the team’s clash against Orlando Pirates.
During an Absa Premiership clash between Sundowns and the Buccaneers, Jali had to be stretchered off after the player sustained a hamstring injury during the first half of the encounter.
Unfortunately for the Bafana Bafana international who showed impressive form during the first few minutes, Jali was unable to continue on duty in the midfield against his former side.
“That was a big one for us. We lost the guy who always gave us box-to-box in our last four games. You could even see in the first two minutes, where he was when he got injured. We lost a very good football player. But Tiyani Mabunda did exceptionally well when he came in,” Mosimane said after the game.
However, after having some time to recover during the international break, the Brazilians have confirmed that Jali has recovered from his hamstring injury and is currently continuing treatment.
“Andile Jali has recovered from the hamstring that saw him fail to finish Sundowns’ goalless draw with Orlando Pirates. He is continuing with treatment,” Sundowns confirmed on their official website.
