Tau Apologises To Sundowns, Brighton Move Set To Be Finalized

Mamelodi Sundowns Have Issued A Statement Regarding Percy Tau

Mamelodi Sundowns have issued a statement regarding Percy Tau and his move away from the Chloorkop-based club.

As reported earlier today by the Siya crew, Tau was once again absent from preseason training with Sundowns, with strong indications that the player and his camp were still trying to force a move away from the Chloorkop-based club.

The Brazilians have since confirmed that Tau and his agent has apologized to the club, with Sundowns now able to continue with negotiations with Brighton and Hove Albion and the 24-year-old will return to training in the mean time.

The club’s statement on their official website read:

"Mamelodi Sundowns is pleased to announce that the President of Mamelodi Sundowns Dr. Patrice Motsepe gave instructions to the Management to finalize the deal with Brighton & Hove Albion FC (Brighton) after Percy Tau and his agent came to see him and apologised for disclosing confidential information to the media and for Percy Tau not reporting for training."

He's not advertised by media look good to convince European teams, but his worth is there for the world to see. Not these plastic Msansi number ones kind of players who never had a trial. Best are with the best, the best are competing with world best. You can't claim to be a top player while you're ageing in your kitchen. Best are out there with the best

This Tau we're talking about; current player of the year, champion league winner, PSL champion, joint top goal scorer. All these achievements add value on the player. You can't compare Tau with Khune and other players who don't know what it feels like to the champion league winner. Tau is curren SA best player; he's the best off all. He's not going to have trials, but will be signed straight away.

I'm a Khosi fan bt I wish this young man success to his dreams in football n so that our South African talent can be recognised by the world and this will be an advantage to our national team as going abroad to more competitive leagues will groom his attacking.

@dellah R50 million is too much beside what you trying to explain. Example there is no Psl clubs can afford such kind of price tag.

R50 million is too much to sell South African players looking at the standard rate of Psl's price money.... Even if we take all money for cup competitions Psl clubs play for, are not almost close d to R50 million.
