Sundowns' Growing Injury List

Mamelodi Sundowns' Growing Injury List

By Soccer Laduma - Sep 18, 2017 01:05 PM

Mamelodi Sundowns’ injury list seems to be a growing one, with Motjeka Madisha suffering an injury during the Brazilians’ CAF Champions League clash on the weekend.

Sundowns claimed a 1-0 first leg win over Wydad Athletic Club at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday, September 17, taking the lead ahead of their second leg quarter-final tie.

The Brazilians will now be jetting off to Morocco this evening, September 18, where they will begin preparations for their second leg encounter against Wydad Athletic on Saturday, September 23.

However, several first team players are currently nursing injuries, with Madisha the latest player to be sidelined.

Sundowns now have George Lebese, Khama Billiat, Rivaldo Coetzee, Anthony Laffor, Madisha, Siyanda Zwane and Tiyani Mabunda now on their list of injured players and it remains to be seen whether any of the above-mentioned players will be available for selection come Saturday.

However, Kennedy Mweene and Yannick Zakri made a successful return to Sundowns’ matchday squad following their previous respective injuries, with Zakri getting on the scoresheet yesterday, after coming off the bench as a replacement for Sibusiso Vilakazi.

It was a memorial service for 10 Sundowns supporters who passed on due to vehicle accident in Klerksdorp , invitations were extended to Dunusa Management and Fans Supporters Club, none of the mentioned attended even a sole representative. This is a blase' attitude and a bad PR from Sundowns, Thuswa should improve his PR skills

Kenneth Coweene. Why didn't Mosimane release him. The guy is like a poison to our beloved team. We tend to loose every time he's on the line up. You can track his game way back the time Mr Neetskens was still our couch. The guy almost got us relegated yet our couch still prioritizes him as our 2nd best. Mara why can't he give T Ngobeni a chance
