Mamelodi Sundowns have indirectly confirmed that the club has concluded the signing of Zimbabwean midfielder, Kudakwashe Mahachi.
It was revealed by Soccer Laduma that the 20-year-old confirmed that he signed a five-year contract with Sundowns, after playing for the Zimbabwean national team during CHAN.
The Brazilians have now confirmed on the club’s official website that the skilful player has been loaned to Highlanders in the Zimbabwean Premier League.
“Mamelodi Sundowns bound striker and Zimbabwean international netted a brace for his country when they defeated Malawi in a friendly international. ‘Kuda’, as the player is affectionately known in Zimbabwean football circles, had a blinder of a game and even initiated the third goal for Kingston Nkhatha, before completing his brace.
"Ironically, prior to the match, the Zim star was involved in an accident together with two other teammates from The Warriors. The other two players were Peter Moyo and Milton Ncube but the trio escaped with minor injuries and even managed to star in the match.
"The 2013 CHAN star in currently on loan from The Brazilians to Zimbabwean giants, Highlanders, in spite of reports that the player is struggling to find a home. In fact the player has made a handful of appearances for the team also known as ‘Bosso’,” sundownsfc.co.za revealed.
