Billiat’s current deal with Sundowns will expire on June 30 this year, and the Zimbabwean international has already been linked with several outfits, both locally and abroad.

However, as reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Masandawana have not given up on trying to keep the 27-year-old at the club, with sources revealing to the Siya crew that the club has offered Billiat a lucrative deal.
According to the source, Sundowns offered the player over R5 million per annum, which includes bonuses and signing on fees.
Billiat has been influential to the success of the Chloorkop-based side and the club is eager to keep them in their plans for the new season, as they defend their Absa Premiership title and continue their fight in the CAF Champions League.
With Percy Tau also strongly linked with a move abroad, indications are that Sundowns want to avoid losing two of their key players at the same time and have firstly upped the ante in trying to keep Billiat at the club.
