Mamelodi Sundowns appear to be upping their attempts to bring Reneilwe Letsholonyane to the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the Siya crew is led to believe that a representative from Masandawana has already made contact with the veteran midfield man in an attempt to persuade him to jump ship.
‘Yeye’ is legally allowed to open up talks with any interested parties after entering into the last six months of his deal back in January, and despite Chiefs saying that they are ‘in negotiations’ with him, his future is far from settled.
The 33-year-old central midfielder – who has around two and a half months left on his contract - has been the bedrock of Chiefs’ success over the past three seasons, however the club seemed to stall in their talks to tie him down leading up to the end of 2015.
Now, with a reunion with his former Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, at SuperSport United also on the cards, it remains a real possibility that Yeye’s time at Naturena may well be coming to an end.
