Denis Onyango: 6
Could have done better with Ajax's first goal, although he was solid for the rest of the 90 minutes.
Wayne Arendse: 6
Not the best of showings from Arendse, as he struggled deal with the arieal threat of Nathan Paulse throughout the game.
Tebogo Langerman: 6
Proved to one of the better performers in the defence, hardly got beaten down the left, while he also added numbers to the attack.
Thabo Nthethe: 6
Much like Arendse, Nthethe struggled under the high ball against Paulse, while he also struggled to deal with the pace from the Ajax attackers.
Rama Mphahlele: 6
Gave away the foul that saw Ajax equalise via the penalty spot, while he did not look comfortable on the right flank against Mzwakali.
Hlompho Kekana: 6
Put in a solid shift protecting the back four, he kept things ticking whenever Sundowns were in possession.
Teko Modise: 7
Modise put in an impressive showing throughout the 90 minutes, handed Sundowns the lead with a wonderful free-kick in the first and he was threat in the final third for most of the game.
Themba Zwane: 6
Not the liveliest of showings from the skillful winger, he hardly had the beating of his marker, while his final was lacking.
Keagan Dolly: 6
Looked lively in the opening stages, but faded as the half went on, while he was also booked for simulation in the second half.
Cuthbert Malajila: 6
Didn't have much to deal with regards to service from the midfield, although he continued to work hard in the attack.
Katlego Mashego: 6
Handed a rare start for Sundowns, however he failed to get involved in the final third and was replaced shortly after the break. Although it was his cross that set-up Lolo's own goal.

Mzikayisa Mashaba: 6
Brought on to add a bit more width in the second half, although his final ball was not up to par.
Anthony Laffor: 7
Proved to be the super substitute for Pitso Msimane, as the rifled home a powerful effort into the top corner to secure the win for Sundowns.
Leonard Castro: 6
Played 20 minutes on his debut for Sundowns, hardly had any joy in the box, although he did work hard to close down the Ajax back-line.
Ajax Cape Town:
Anssi Jaakkola: 6
Was hardly tested throughout the 90 minutes, while he also helpless for both of Sundowns' goals.
Cecil Lolo: 5
Put in a solid showing at right back defensively, although his performance was overshadowed by the own goal he scored the first half.
Abbubaker Mobara: 6
Did well to frustrate both Malajila and Mashego, he also popped up with a superb block to deny Dolly in the first half. Unfortunately he had to be substitute shortly after the break.
Abel Mabaso: 6
Mabaso put in a solid showing in the heart of the Ajax defence, as he hardly put a foot wrong alongside Mobara.
Musa Lebusa: 6
Lebusa had no problems defensively and frustrated Themba Zwane on a few occasions, although he helped out going forward.
Ndiviwe Mdabuka: 6
Another workman-like showing from Mdabuka, the midfielder worked tirelessly in the midfield to protect the back four.
Bantu Mzwakali: 7
Mzwakali was a constant threat down the left flank and Ajax's only real attacking outlet with pace, while he also popped up with a well-taken volley in the first half.
Granwald Scott: 6
The Ajax skipper battled well in the middle of the park, gave away a few needless fouls but was solid overall.
Tariq Losper: 6
Losper spent most of the encounter tracking back, although he was hardly a threat in the opposing final third.
Franklin Cale: 6
Showed glimpses of he can do going forward, won his side a penalty, while it was his throw-in that set-up Mzwakali's goal.
Nathan Paulse: 7
Replaced Prince Nxumalo in the line-up and once again troubled the Sundowns defence with his aerial ability, while he also converted a spot-kick.
