Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka says they want to make things right after a 'difficult three years'.
Maluleka made his first appearance of the season and picked up the Man of the Match award as Chiefs defeated Free State Stars 2-0 at Goble Park on Tuesday evening.
Maluleka was one of seven changes from the win over Cape Town City, and he says the players wanted to come out and proved they were one team.
“It’s been quite a while, about three months or so. I’ve been working my way back. The guys have been motivating me making sure that always I’m in good hands. I’m very proud of the boys and I’m grateful with the amount of effort they put in tonight," Maluleka told SuperSport after the game.
“With the team that we have there’s a lot of quality and we have a lot to offer. It’s been a difficult three years or so we want to make sure that we make things right this season.
“There’s a lot to offer you can see the team was changed today - the other guys were given a rest because of the game on Saturday. But we came out to show that we’re one team and there’s one philosophy we followed it tonight.”
