SuperSport United are likely to be without midfielder George Maluleka when they take on his former side, Ajax Cape Town, in the Telkom Knockout.
The Siya crew reported yesterday that the midfield man was undergoing a scan after injuring his ankle in training and it has since been revealed that he will spend about 10 days on the sidelines.

A 10 day lay-off means that he is unlikely to be fit for Matsatsantsa’ clash with Ajax on the 5th of October, although he could be deemed fit should he recover ahead of schedule.
The crew were informed that the 24-year-old has suffered a ligament tear in his ankle. It is only a grade one tear which means that it should not be an injury that keeps him out for an extended period of time.
Maluleka has had a difficult start to the season for Cavin Johnson’s side, flitting in and out of the team due to injuries and a suspension. He will now have to recover from injury once again and force his way back into his coach’s first team.
