Veteran striker Mpho Maleka is looking for a new club, having been released by Moroka Swallows following the end of his contract.
The 35-year-old striker started in only two games for the Birds last season, although was able to find the back of the net on one occasion.
“It’s true that I won’t be playing for Swallows next season. I guess that’s the nature of the game of football, today you are playing for this team and the next day you are being released.
“As a football player, you must always be ready for these things. I enjoyed my stay at Swallows during the past two seasons and I appreciate everything the club has done for me ,” Maleka told the Siya crew.
The former AmaZulu and Free State Stars striker said that he expects to know by next week as to where he will be playing in the new season.
