News coming out of Botswana is that Alfred Manyozo Junior, who plies his trade for Botswana side UF Santos, could link up with Santos next season.
The Malawian midfielder has been one of the club’s key players, but rumours are that the People’s Team head coach, Major David Bright, is keen to land his services and the player is set for a South African switch next season. Manyozo was previously on the books of Mighty Wanderers in his home country and is considered a big talent and a workhorse in the middle of the park.
Bright recently signed a short-term deal with the National First Division side and is likely to be signed on a permanent basis, and see Manyozo as the kind of player that will help his team achieve their goals next season.
"Yes, some person interested but haven't got anything official from the club," an unnamed UF Santos official was quoted by Botswana football.
If he does make the move, he will be looking to follow in the footsteps of a couple of players that came from the neighbouring Botswana league and made a name for themselves in Mzansi, among them the likes of Dipsy Selolwane, Mogogi Gabonamong, Joel Mogorosi and Mogakolodi Ngele.
