The Siya crew has been informed that Malawian defender Lucky Malata will not be joining Mpumalanga Black Aces after AmaZayoni opted to not conclude his deal.

Malata was part of the Aces team that took part in a four team preseason tournament at the BidVest Stadium a few weeks and it was reported that he had done enough in the tournament to convince Clive Barker and his technical team to sign him.

Aces went on to initiate talks with Malata, with the club confirming to Soccer-Laduma, at the time, that the two parties had agreed on a deal. However, the latest news reaching the crew is that Aces decided to pull out of the proposed deal at the last minute.

It's not clear at this stage as to why AmaZayoni decided against signing Malata.
