Cuthbert Malajila believes that Mamelodi Sundowns are aware of the weaknesses of Polokwane City, as he and his teammates are in the final preparations of their league game tonight.
The Brazilians host Rise and Shine at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, in a game that Pitso Mosimane and his team will be playing to try and get the points to keep their PSL title hopes alive.
“Polokwane City have proven to be one of the toughest sides in the league and have not only caused major upsets but have also scored more goals than any other team so far. Now that’s very impressive reading for a side who were fighting for their survival in top flight a season ago.
“But as much as they have scored more goals, they have also let in as much, which means they have weaknesses we can possibly exploit.
“When coming up against a side of this nature you have to bury your chances early in the match because if they get the opportunity they will unsettle you,” Malajila told the club’s official website.
Malajila is the joint top goal scorer in the league with nine goals. The Zimbabwean striker says his mind is not on winning the top goal scorer award, but defending the league with the Chloorkop outfit.
“I’d like to believe that I’m a team player and that’s the most important thing right now. I have actually stopped keeping tabs on the top scorers in the league as I’m more interested in our title defence and keeping our hopes alive,” Malajila told sundownsfc.co.za.
