Word reaching the Siya crew is that Maritzburg United man, Cuthbert Malajila, is on the verge of joining Mamelodi Sundowns, with the deal all but done.
According to a Soccer-Laduma source, the player and Sundowns have verbally agreed on terms, while Maritzburg are said to be close to settling on a transfer fee for the striker.
Speculation has been rife surrounding the future of the forward for many months now and it was revealed by the crew earlier in the year that the Brazilians were eager to try and land the Zimbabwean forward.
Now, with the PSL season at a close, it seems that Downs have landed their target and are expected to announce the signing of Malajila within the next few days.
There are expected to be a number of new faces at Sundowns in the new season as Pitso Mosimane looks to stamp his authority on the club and help them challenge for silverware, after what was a poor 2012/13 campaign by their standards.
