Baroka FC coach Macdonald Makhubedu has blamed the lack of concentration at crucial times in the game for his side’s 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in an Absa Premiership match on Sunday.
The Limpopo outfit went ahead through Lucky Nguzan, but the Absa Premiership leaders hit back through Wayne Arendse and Percy Tau.
“My boys are good, they gave their all,” Makhubedu told SuperSport after the game.
“We wanted to win the game. They scored, they played well. The second half they controlled the match. We wanted to still lead at the end of the first half, but the last 15 minutes they came back and scored in a crucial moment.
“The first five minutes in the second half they scored a goal, but we showed character.
“We came back but it was not meant to be.
“I think we played well. Today we were just unlucky. They scored the last five minutes of the first half, first five minutes of the second half. It was lack of concentration here and there. They are a good team.
“We will try our best in our next game. It is a home game and we always do well at home.”
