Kaizer Chiefs striker Lehlohonolo Majoro is one of the 23-man Bafana Bafana squad members that will represent the country at the 2013 African Cup of Nations on home soil.
The in-form striker’s inclusion to Gordon Igesund’s squad has been welcomed by the local football fraternity, with the 26-year-old having expressed some of his best football over the past few months.
However, he has explained that if given the opportunity he will put his personal goals aside for the good of the team.
He told the Siya crew that it will be encouraging to see the team overcome Norway at the Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday, as South Africa prepare to host the Europeans. He said that Bafana is a strong outfit going forward, a strength which will work to their advantage.
“I want to do well, but for the team. You know the team comes first. The team's glory comes first then after that we can think of personal glory, but that should be after seeing that the team do well.
“As a team we want to see us win. We want to win on Tuesday. I think if we can attack well, which is our strength, then we can score goals which will help us win the game,” Majoro expressed.
