News reaching the Siya crew is that Lehlohonolo Majoro’s move to SuperSport United is set to be called off.
Despite previous claims from Majoro's agent Tim Sukazi that the player had signed a three-and-half-year deal with SuperSport United, which led to both Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport announcing the transfer on Friday, he has now subsequently backtracked on those comments on Power FM today. Sukazi admitted on the show that the player had in fact not signed yet, but stated that the strength of the deal in principle was strong enough for them to announce it initially - though the player was still deciding on whether he wanted to sign or not.
The Siya crew can now confirm that Majoro, despite confirming to his agent and SuperSport that he would sign, made a shocking turnaround on the move.
Soccer-Laduma spoke to Stan Matthews, who said, "As far as SuperSport are concerned, we tabled an offer, the player and the agent accepted the offer, however there are now clearly other factors at play," said Stan Matthews.
"Like everybody, we are waiting for the truth to emerge and in the interim we are waiting for the agent to sort this mess out."
As it stands right now, the Siya crew understands that Majoro may have signed a pre-contract elsewhere, without his agent, and for all intents and purposes, the move to SuperSport has been called off.
Don’t be surprised if Majoro turns out in the colours of Orlando Pirates next season.
