It remains a mystery as to how long Kaizer Chiefs striker Lehlohonolo Majoro will spend on the sidelines after picking up an infection in his foot.
The forward was left out of the Amakhosi squad for the recent 3-1 Telkom Knockout win over Polokwane City, this past weekend.
Prior to the game it was confirmed that both Majoro and Siphiwe Tshabalala would miss the game, although it had already been reported that ‘Shabba’ was likely to miss the encounter.
While the infection sustained by Majoro is not believed to be a serious one, it is not yet known how long he will be out of action for and the club will be keen to see him make a quick recovery.
The Amakhosi take on Bloemfontein Celtic in the Macufe Cup this weekend and the game would have been a good chance for Majoro to stake his claim for a regular place in Stuart Baxter’s side.
Meanwhile, ‘Shabba’ will definitely miss the Macufe encounter, while new signing Ivan Bukenya is likely to pull on a Chiefs jersey for the first time at Free State Stadium.
