Going into the Afcon tournament mainly in Group A Bafana Bafana was the lowest ranked side but they managed to qualify for the quarter-finals where they play against 3rd ranked Mali tonight at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Striker Lehlohonolo Majoro who has recovered in time from the injury he suffered against Angola tells the Siya crew that in such tournaments rankings don't really count.
He said if rankings had to do anything with the team's performance they couldn't have qualified for the knockout stages from their group.
“We are here because we deserve to be here. It is not about how high or low you are ranked but how far as a team you want to go. We have watched them and it's true they are big boys but Angola and Morocco were also big boys. It is about how we go out there and play. Attack them and make sure we create chances which we can converte and win the game. As for who scores on the day it doesn't really matter. We all want to reach the semi-finals and we are taking one game at a time and now it is these quarter-finals against Mali which we need to win," the Kaizer Chiefs striker expressed.
