George Lebese struck late in the second half to earn Kaizer Chiefs a 1-0 win over Free State Stars in the Maize Cup final.

Stars were also finding it tough to carve out chances, as the likes of Sinethemba Jantjie and Nhlanhla Vilakazi were kept quiet by the Chiefs full-backs for most of the half.
Brilliant Khuzwayo came to Chiefs' rescue after the break, as he produced a superb save to keep out Danny Venter's free-kick from 25-yards out.
Khuzwayo was called upon once again in the 55th minute, as he pulled off another fine save to keep out Venter's low strole from distance.
Komphela opted for a change on the hour mark as Buchanan made way for Kgotso Malope on the hour mark, while Mitchell Katsvairo was introduced eight minutes later.
Chiefs eventually broke the deadlock in the 82nd minute as Joseph Molangoane picked out George Lebese, who rifled the ball into the bottom corner.
