According to Pirates Administrative Manager, Floyd Mbele, Mahamutsa went to see a specialist doctor today to determine the full extent of his elbow injury and the doctor said he was fine, but will miss Wednesday’s game because of discomfort.
"Rooi is fine. He saw the doc & was given the all clear. He'll miss Wednesday because of discomfort but he is definitely fine,” Mbele told the official Pirates twitter account.
"I have to applaud our medical team. They put the elbow back in (pitch side) and that helped him.
"The docs confirmed that there was no structural damage to his elbow so, he is fine,” added Mbele.
Meanwhile, Pirates striker Kermit Erasmus missed today's training session as his still recovering from a bout of flu.
The 23-year-old striker could also miss the match against Maritzburg on Wednesday.
