The Siya crew can reveal that former Golden Arrows midfielder Mxolisi Macuphu has stopped training with AmaZulu.
The 24-year-old had been training with the Durban-based side in an effort to sign for next season, after being deemed surplus to requirements by Abafana Bes’thende.
He only made four substitute appearances last season and was told to look for a new club when his contract ran out at the end of June. Macuphu is now without a club and plotting his next move.
He confirmed the news to the crew, “It’s true that I have now stopped training with AmaZulu. I had been there for a while and no one was saying anything to me. I just couldn’t wait. No one really explained to me what was happening, so I decided to stop. Maybe they are going to call me, but we’ll see.”
