Former Black Leopards defender Vincent Mabusela says he is eyeing a move to one of South Africa's neighbouring countries as his search for a club in the country has failed to yield positive results.
Mabusela, on the wrong side of 30, was released by Lidoda Duvha in a major clearout before the beginning of the season, with Kosta Papic preferring to work with a younger squad.
National First Division clubs are required by SA football law to have five players under the age of 23 in their starting line-up, putting players like Mabusela in a tough position. He says he has been keeping up with his fitness training on a daily basis while looking for employment.
“I’m here in Polokwane, training with Posnett Omony, while we look for clubs. It’s frustrating to be in this situation but I’m hoping something comes up.
"To be honest with you, I want to move to one of the other African countries because here in South Africa they look at your age. I still have much to offer,” he revealed.
