Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani Mabunda insists the Brazilians have learnt from the mistakes they made during last season's title race.
The Brazilians maintained top spot in the Absa Premiership with a 2-0 win over Chippa United on Wednesday evening.
Mabunda believes Sundowns are well equipped to see out the rest of the league season.
“I’d like to honour the grace of my father. I’d like to thank God for giving me life in order to portray his power in the field of play,” Mabunda told SuperSport after the game.
“The games that are remaining for us are not going to be easy. You know many people are after our heads. But we have been in this situation before and are looking forward to going all the way.
“Last season, we lost the title because of a similar situation like this one. We were relaxed, we thought we had won it before we played the matches. But we have learned from our mistakes. The coach has upped his game where he is pushing us to a level where we know what we are responsible for. We know that God will always give us grace as long as we are doing well.
“Many people complain about fatigue but it’s all in the mind. We have a strong technical team.”
