Mpumalanga Black Aces will be without their on-form goalkeeper, Jackson Mabokgwane and influential defender, Ofentse Nato, when they tackle Wits tomorrow afternoon.
The duo are on loan to Aces from Wits, and as part of the loan agreement, are not allowed to play against the Students.
Mabokgwane has been in terrific form for AmaZayoni since he took over the number one jersey from Bafana Nhlapo, while Nato has been rock solid at the back alongside Mbulelo Mabizela and Method Mwanjali.
“Eish bro, I would have loved to play against Wits, not because I want to prove a point against them, but to continue playing because I have been playing regularly so far. But the coach will decide when I return for the Chiefs game if whether or not to return me to the starting line-up, commented Mabokgwane.
Mabokgwane and Nato’s absence will no doubt come as a blow to Aces, who are unbeaten in their last six league matches.
Bafana Nhlapo is expected to replace Mabokgwane, while Mwanjali is expected to partner Mabizela in the centre of defence in the absence of Nato, with Abel Mabaso and Zamuxolo Ngalo playing on the wing backs.
