Mbulelo ‘OJ’ Mabizela’s proposed move to Chippa United has been called off after the two clubs couldn’t agree to terms.
A source close to the recently promoted PSL side has explained to the Siya crew that, while they had been keen to bring the former Bafana Bafana captain on board, the move has now collapsed.
The Students had been prepared to part ways with the defender, however it seems that quarrels with regards to a transfer fee got in the way of the deal.
Earlier in the season Chippa had a chance of clinching a deal with Zimbabwean defender, Byron Madzokere, after the player impressed the technical team during a trial, however the club pulled out of a deal in the last minute and allowed the player to return home.
The Chilli Boys have already missed out on a few big name transfer targets including Mark Mayambela, Erwin Isaacs and Abia Nale, and it now looks as though OJ has joined that list.
