Mpumalanga Black Aces will be without defender, Mbulelo ‘OJ’ Mabizela and midfielder, Miguel Timm, when they take on PSL league leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, at Loftus Stadium on Wednesday night.
The duo are suspended for this clash after picking up their fourth yellow cards during the 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs.
Mabizela and Timm’s absence will come as a major blow for AmaZayoni, who will also be without the loan players, Abel Mabaso, Method Mwanjali and Themba Zwane.
The three players are on loan from Sundowns and according to a loan agreement between the two clubs, they cannot play against the Brazilians.
Aces have won four of their last six matches – losing one and drawing once – but with the absence of the five regular players, it looks highly unlikely that they would do a double over Sundowns.
AmaZayoni beat the Brazilians 1-0 in the first round of the season, with Clifford Mulenga scoring the winning goal for Clive Barker’s team.
