SA Starlet Takes Step Into Pro Ranks
South African youngster, Luvuyo Mkatshana, looks to be taking a step into senior football, with the Bidvest Wits graduate completing a move to the National First Division.
Mkatshana has impressed at youth level for the South African national team over the last year, playing a vital role in the COSAFA U20 Championship win back in December, and has now penned a deal with Stellenbosch FC in the NFD.
The 20-year-old, who has represented South Africa at both U17 and U20 level, will now be hoping to take his chance to step up a level, after signing a one-year deal with a one-year option in the Western Cape.
With Stellenbosch looking to try and at least secure a spot in the NFD play-offs next season, they will be eager to see the attacker hit the ground running following his move from Wits, although it remains to be seen how long it will take him to secure a regular first team berth.
