Word coming out of the Moroka Swallows camp is that defender, Luvhengo Mungomeni, is recovering from his injury, and will start light training next week.
Mungomeni missed the Soweto derby loss against Orlando Pirates, as well as Tuesday night's win over Platinum Stars, but is likely to return to training next week Monday.
“I’m still experiencing a bit of pain when I walk, but I have been told that I will start jogging next week. There are few games left before the end of the season, so I’m hoping to return before the end of the season,” Mungomeni told the Siya crew.
Meanwhile, left back, Levy Mokgothu, was expected to resume training yesterday morning (Wednesday) after recovering from the injury he suffered in the match against Stars on Tuesday.
Mokgothu was substituted after injuring himself, but it turned out that the injury was not so serious as previously thought.
Swallows finally registered their second win in 2014 when they beat Dikwena 1-0 away at Royal Bafokeng Stadium, through a strike by Felix Obada.
The Birds will now take on Ajax Cape Town at home on Friday night.
