The 26-year-old forward, who is the younger brother of Kaizer Chiefs’ Itumeleng, has been clubless since leaving Chippa United last year, with a dispute with the Chilli Boys resulting in him being paid his wages after the South African Football Players Union stepped in.
Now, as he seeks to get his career back on track, Siya sources have revealed that the striker, as well as 26-year-old former Free State Stars man, Lucky Mokoena, have surfaced in Pretoria with the National First Division outfit.
Shaun Bartlett is on the lookout for a new striker following the exit of Thabo Mnyamane to SuperSport United, while Matsatsantsa duo, Thabo Moloi and Zama Rambuwane have also been linked with his side.
It remains to be seen whether Khune and Mokoena will be able to land a contract in Tshwane, however, they will be hopeful of securing a deal with the promotion hopefuls.
