Luc Eymael – the head coach of Black Leopards – has spoken about his concern regarding Thabo ‘Festival’ Matlaba’s current situation as the Limpopo outfit prepares for the resumption of the Absa Premiership.
The Belgian coach is hopeful that the FIFA international break will be enough to see the former Orlando Pirates left-back recover from the injury that has halted his progress.
Furthermore, Eymael hopes that Malawian international midfielder Robert Ng’ambi will also be available for the team on their return from the break.
“Matlaba is still injured and Ng’ambi is still injured. I hope Matlaba will come back soon,” Eymael told the Siya crew.
After starting the season on a personal high – starting in all of Leopards’ first six matches of the season – Matlaba missed both of the team’s last two matches before the break due to injury.
“I hope to get Matlaba back in training as soon as possible. We’ll have a Telkom Knockout game that should be next Friday or Saturday or Sunday,” the coach added.
