The Buccaneers got back to winning ways after defeating AmaZulu 4-1 at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night.
Lorch revealed that the Pirates head coach informed them not to put pressure on the AmaZulu defenders.
“The coach told us to leave their centre-backs to play because they are not comfortable on the ball," Lorch told SuperSport after the game.
"If you can see the second goal it was a pressing trap on Gumede. I put the pressure on Gumede, then we got a goal."
Lorch admitted there was some concern heading into Saturday's night encounter following the defeat to SuperSport United.
“I think we played well. We showed character. From 1-0 down, we came back stronger. We scored three goals in the first half,” he said.
“In the second half, the coach told us we must not be too happy because the game is still on. We have to push and try to score another goal.
“We were concerned because in our previous game we lost against SuperSport [United] so we had to come back stronger and make our supporters happy and our families. It was important to win this game.”
