Three Absa Premiership derby matches took place over the weekend, with Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United getting wins on Friday night, while Bloemfontein Celtic were victorious on Saturday.
Friday's local action started off the pitch with the transfer window closing. South African clubs were a little more active this January window compared to the last, and a few last minute deals went through.
But perhaps bigger news than any transfer was when Roger Da Sa announced that he had resigned from Orlando Pirates.

Later in the day Chiefs moved ten points clear at the top as they beat Soweto neighbours Moroka Swallows 2-0 on Friday night, while at the same time SuperSport beat Tuks 1-0 in Pretoria.
Ea La Koto's misery continued this season as they lost 2-0 at home to Siwelele in the Free State derby.
The CHAN 2014 Tournament also wrapped up in Cape Town on Saturday, with Libya winning the tournament after beating Ghana 4-3 on penalties after the match ended goalless after 120 minutes.
Prior to the final Nigeria clinched third spot with a 1-0 victory over Ian Gorowa's Zimbabwe team who were reduced to ten men early in the game.
Kaizer Chiefs also played a friendly game on Sunday against the Nedband Ke Yona team, which Chiefs eventually won on penalties.
