Agent Lashes Out At SAFPU About Defender!

A football agent has hit out at the South African Football Players Union (SAFPU) in discussing the future of one of the players he represents.

Following a meeting that SAFPU had with the players from Highlands Park who were rejected after the sale of the club to TS Galaxy, Sifiso Mbhele’s agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi of Rush Hour Sports Management has distanced his client from the said meeting about the players futures.

“I have heard about the meeting that the players union had with players from Highlands Park and I would like to set the record straight about my client Sifiso Mbhele. I would like to make it clear that Sifiso is fine and doesn’t require any kind of help from anyone at the moment. As Sifiso’s representative, I can confirm that we are in talks with TS Galaxy and we are on the same page with them. We are talking about the player’s settlement,” said Mulovhedzi.

“We would like to distance ourselves from the player’s union. We have a good relationship with TS Galaxy. Sifiso Mbhele is fine and we don’t need the help of the players union. We don’t want to be used as a market tool for another organisation,” the representative told the Siya crew.

Speaking to the Siya crew, SAFPU’s Calvin Motloung disputed the representative’s claims about the 32-year-old defender.

“Sifiso Mbhele is our member. We had a meeting with him and the other players from Highlands Park, eight or nine of them. Sifiso brought his case to the union. How would he have brought it if he was not a member? It’s not true that the player is not the member of the union,” said Motloung.
