Agent Struggling After The Death Of PSL Player
Local Agent Pays Tribute To The Late Maritzburg United Midfielder
Local football agent, Ayanda Sigwili, of Dynasty Sports, has expressed his sadness following the passing of his client, Maritzburg United’s Mlondi Dlamini.
Dlamini passed away in a car accident on Sunday, as confirmed by his employers at the Team of Choice. The club confirmed that the accident took place at about 06.30 on Sunday morning on the N3 north-bound between Pietermaritzburg and Durban.
Dlamini was a passenger in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Contacted for comment, Dlamini’s agent confirmed to the Siya crew that he is still struggling to come to terms with the player’s untimely passing.
“No words can describe how I feel right now. I still feel like someone is going to say that, ‘No it’s a joke.’ But I remember it’s not April Fool’s Day. South Africa has been robbed of yet another great talent. This is the day I wished I never got to experience in my football life. But God always has different plans for us. It’s very difficult for me to accept this but I know you are in a better place now.
“It is a very sad moment. The player still had a lot to offer. There had been plans in place for him and his football career. What happened came as a shock to all of us. I have lost a brother, son and everything in him. I am sure that Maritzburg will do the right thing, which is to support the player’s family during this difficult time,” said Sigwili.
Soccer Laduma sends condolences to the family and friends of Dlamini.
